Staycation at Phipps Plaza with The AC Hotel by Marriott

AHHH SIGH……. Life is hard and you already know that my love language is staycations. Thank you to Phipps Plaza and The AC Hotel by Marriott in Buckhead for the best night ever. 

Have you ever had a Friday night where you know the house is messy, the sheets are dirty and you wish you could clap your hands and that ish would fix itself??? Because…..same. Well, the big V-Day is just another excuse for me to return to The AC and live this wonderful staycation all over again.

Here is the perfect formula you can simply copy for the best staycation. 

  • Check into AC Hotel 

    • I first stayed at the AC Hotel in Asheville AND Nashville (what what that rhymes). Let me tell you the AC is great hotel at an even greater price point! The Buckhead location has a modern-European vibe that will have you dreaming of a get away.

  • Jump on the bed 

    • Self explanatory, but the beds are luscious and amazing for a guaranteed good night sleep. 

  • Head down to the AC Bar for drinks

    • If you aren’t feeling like getting a little rowdy then maybe skip this part due to the fact that Loan the bartender is LITERALLY cray cray in the best way possible. She made our tame little date night into a very fun one! Her trick: shots! LOL.

  • Walk over to Tavern at Phipps for Dinner 

    • There is a beautiful walk way from the AC that leads you to Nordstrom. Walk through the mall, maybe do some light shopping on your way to dinner. A little retail therapy followed by some cocktails before never hurt anybody ;) The Tavern at Phipps is one of my favorite places for a super fun, casual date night. Their shishito peppers are a MUST if you like spicy things. Followed by cheeseburger because when are burgers & fries ever a bad idea? Never!! Checkout their iconic menu here.

  • Stumble over to AMC Phipps Plaza for a movie

    • Finally, top off the night with a movie and some snacks! Emphasis on the snacks, because a girl like me cannot survive a movie without them. We ended up seeing The Gentleman with Matthew McConaughey. If you love an action-packed movie, this one is for you!

  • Brunch in the AM

    • The AC, being a European inspired hotel, serves the most fabulous brunch with all of the fresh fruit, prosciutto, and yummy croissants your stomach can hold. I personally recommend sending your SO down to grab breakfast whilst you lounge in a plush hotel robe, but that’s just me.

  • Contemplate booking another night

    • Reality sets in after brunch as our checkout time dawns on us, but no worries, we will be booking another staycation soon.
